GENERAL ORIENTATION
|

Global Partnership runs the first phase of the program at the Kathmandu.
It covers language and cultural classes, visits to important place in
Kathmandu, hiking and visits to surrounding areas of Kathmandu valley. It
also includes meeting and lecture from exports living in Kathmandu. Global
partnership organizes guided city tour of Kathmandu for groups. We have
small tourist coaches and experienced guided tours.
CULTURE ORIENTATION AND LANGUAGE PROGRAM
Global Partnership offers this program especially for long term
volunteers. During this program volunteers will learn a basic knowledge of
Nepali language. In order to make voluntary work easier it is very
compulsory and this is a good opportunity for volunteers to learn about
the Nepali culture, lifestyle and the people. Beside this, volunteer will
enjoy sightseeing the Kathmandu valley (the capital city of Nepal), church
visits and joint cultural programs. Accommodation and food will be
provided by Global Partnership in program period.

Second Phase:
After general orientation phase, volunteer leave for village/home stay. In
the beginning of this phase, volunteer practice language and experience
village life, go for village visits and hike. Global volunteers organize
cultural programs, white water rafting, jungle safaris, and Tharu and
ethnic village visits in this phase.

Village visit and Hiking: |
|
Two to three days village visit or hiking program
will be organized during the community guest program. Hiking program
will give opportunities for participants to see green serenity,
magnificent landscaping and different aspect of rural life in Nepal. |

| 2. |
White Water Rafting: |
|
Participant will leave for rafting after
breakfast. They will enjoy the white water rafting and waves of the
Trishuli River. The white water rafting program starts at fisling
and ends at Bhorle River. You will pass by beautiful landscapes of
Nepal during the rafting program. The program may not be available
during July and august because of flooding in the Trishuli River. |

Visit to Royal Chitwan
National Park: |
|
Global Partnership will organize a visit to the
royal Chitwan National Park. Participant will enjoy elephant riding
and jungle safari, tharu cultural dance; visit to tharu village,
museum. You can see several wild animals such as rhino, tiger,
bird's etc. After completing all these activities, groups go for
either service project or join the volunteer program according to
their own interests. Volunteers stay with host families or groups
according to the interest of the group. Exploration and visit to
village and nearby areas of attraction continue in free time. We
organize picnics, cultural programs, and trekking program in this
phase. |

Last Phase:

Hiking and cultural
dance: |
|
Hiking in different beautiful villages and sharing
cultural dance program in the evening by the local is another
activity planned in the course of work camps. Villager will present
local ethnic dance to reconsider the one of the cultural aspects.
Participants can join the cultural dance program and dance with the
local people and enjoy the real life of ethnic people in Nepal.

Trekking: |
|
we will manage trekking for volunteers in different
hills and mountain reasons of Nepal according to the actual
accessibility from the work places. For trekking we will be hiring
local experts so that they can guide us as it is risky in many
places due to the natural landmark. Volunteers will go trekking in
the Annapurna trekking trail, one of the most beautiful trekking
routes in the world.

Pokhara Visit: |
|
Pokhara is one of the most beautiful cities of Nepal.
It has amazing combination of lakes and the mountain, beautiful Fewa
Lake with shadows of machapuchara himal and the wonderful Sati River
running underground. We will be managing a tour to Pokhara where you
will find wonders of nature.

Recreational Activities:
Nepal a name filled with
images of gods reigning over the highest mountains of the world. More then
8 mountains rank in the top ten mountains in the world, are the boundaries
of Nepal including the highest pick in the world Mt.Everest. Nepal with
amazing natural beauty is quite simply one of the most spectacular and
fascinating adventure destination in the world. Global Partnership is not
a trekking and tour operator. But, to honor the request of many volunteers
and to present the beauty of nature and Himalayas to our volunteers,
global partnership manages more reliable, cheaper and quality trekking and
other recreational program in collaboration with our local trekking and
tour partners or other registered guides. Depending up on the situation
and the actual place of works camps and other volunteering programs, we
offer various other recreational activities as well.
