group with great enthusiasm to contribute their time and effort to
internship program towards helping the communities and people of Nepal.
Internship is a better way to experience other cultures, meet people from
other countries, learn new skills, take part in peacemaking and help in
environment, and social service initiatives
Global Partnership offers a very special and creational Internship Program
to International students and interested volunteers. Internship program is
known as a package of learning opportunity in different area Global
Partnership requests volunteers to choose any field related to Nepal in
collaboration with our local partner organization and community. Global
partnership includes following areas for internship program:
- Health
- Education
- Agriculture
- Language and Culture
- Woman Empowerment
- Community Development
- Report writing and Program Design
Areas of Internship expanded according to the participant's still and
interest. The Intern will work with project staff and community people in
friendly environment. A capable and energetic helper will be provided for
every Intern. Interns are to be engaged under the project director but are
most welcome for their suggestions and better proposals. Generally,
Internship programs are learning based development programs. So, Interns
are suggested to have a dynamic personality and adapted nature. Global
Partnership hopes, Interns will get more then they expect because program
will run under a scientific schedule that is designed by Interns
themselves:
First Phase:
Interns will
engage in Kathmandu for the first phase. First phase, programs covers
language classes, cultural orientation and visit of Kathmandu Valley where
seven world heritage places are located. Village hiking and meeting with
village people and one day trekking to Nagarkot is also included in the
first phase of program. At the end of the first phase Interns will acquire
a strong confidence on Nepali language, cultural and geography of Nepal.
Program runs approximately two weeks

Second Phase:
After
completing the first phase interns attain the internship program according
to their interest and faculty. They are now sent for the areas of
internship: community, hospital, developmental projects and historical
areas etc. where they get chance to have ideal performance. They will be
guided and fully cooperated by seniors. After completing the internship
volunteers are honored with certificate of completion internship program.
Third and Last Phase:
Nepal
is famous world over for it's beautiful and amazing caravans of Himalayas.
In this phase, Interns will leave for Pokhara, a beautiful Himalayan
valley. After visiting Pokhara Interns will go for trekking in the
Annapurna trekking trail, one of the most popular trekking routes in the
world. Interns will enjoy seeing ethnic life in high altitude, waterfalls,
birds and wild animals. Length of the trekking depends on the interest of
Interns.
