OTHER PROGRAMS

The program of Global Partnership is out of the belief that there is much that we can get from and add to our society by working as part of a community of volunteers. In our efforts in the voluntary sector, we strive to help the people to learn to take the initiative in their self-development. Beside our regular programs we also run other programs, which are focused on creating spaces for under, served peoples of Nepal. Other program includes:

World Peace Special

Global Partnership is organising a world peace special work camp for Nepalese and international volunteers to develop a peaceful culture world wide as volunteer can play an effective role to aware people about the disadvantages of war. Participants can enjoy various activities such as debate, poem, and painting and essay competition in this work camp. Volunteers are working with scholar, collegian, youth and women, far away from their country and family.

Work camps will be especially organized to support World Peace Project and we have started this program with the purpose for making world peace with friendships beyond the Nationalities and Races. The recent world situation is far away from peace, and some countries are still interested in having more weapons, especially nuclear weapons. We should think and work towards a nuclear weapon free world.

Christmas (X-mass) and New Year Special

Global Partnership is organising a Christmas and New Year special work camp for Nepali and international volunteers. Participant will enjoy various activities and many cultural programs. Volunteers working far away from their country, friends and family will cerebrate Christmas and New Year with a church community in a Hindu kingdom of Nepal. Church decoration, sanitary works in village, rubbish collection from polluted area, cooking and distributing food for orphans and cultural exchange is the work we do during these work camps. Other many special recreational activities will be planned for Christmas and New Year. We work together with local peoples and for them. Last year we picked up stone and sand to make trail stairs to the village. Now the village is more beautiful with this new trail, plus making it more accessible. There's a lot fun spending the whole night with the villagers singing and dancing. This camp activity would be different and more interesting than normal camps. During these 15 days we are going to be in field for only 7 days

SAARC Volunteer Week

Global Partnership believes that developing countries should take charge of their own development and increasingly build on South-South partnerships and sub-regional co-operation to advance their development. In this context, lies in rendering a neutral environment for open debate and negotiation thus we organise SAARC Volunteer week especially
1. To provide greater policy and program support in the area of governance and institutional reform;
2. To promote the use of science and technology and entrepreneurship for innovative, sustainable initiatives which help create jobs and higher income for the poorer sections of society and to help devise better mechanisms for the benefits of appropriate technology to accrue directly and quickly to the intended end-users
3. To support a SAARC region focus on the development of tools, indicators and measurements for the monitoring and tracking of poverty alleviation goals and to use these increasingly to help design future plans and to forge ahead with a specific sub-regional plans for development and education.

Global Partnership offers SAARC volunteers for a solidarity and partnership in development of voluntary in SAARC countries. Working in an Orphanage: Children at risk

More than 6oo million children live under poverty all over the world. It is increasing much more among other countries basically in cities than in suburbs. Nepal is also suffering from increasing numbers of children at risk and the children of poverty are much more likely to suffer the effects of abuse and neglect.
Children in war have no access to education. When war is over, the rebuilding of their nation is left in the hands of an illiterate population. Moreover, children who grow up in war-torn lands experience terrible trauma and psychological damage that continue to affect them as adults thus our organization ask volunteers to join the hand and save the children from spoiling there life?s ultimately which may spoils country. Thus we take an active role in preventing children from suffering and protecting their rights. With many work camps centralizing children and there problems we take help from volunteers who have knowledge regarding and from same field.
