PROGRAM INFORMATION

Global Partnership is a non-profit making volunteer organization which
promoting volunteerism in Nepal and other part of the world with the
collaboration of international members, partners and affiliate
organizations in development, environment, community, cultural, education,
sports, health and social sector. Global Partnership has been operating
its programs involving both International and Nepalese volunteers since
2002.
Mature, committed individuals who are at least 18 years old, without
accompanying minor dependents, and in good health are encouraged to apply
for service as long-term volunteers. Applicants are expected to have
personal goals and values consistent with Global Partnership’s vision
and goals as stated in the Volunteer Guide. The applicant should be of
high moral and spiritual character, reliable, self-directed, and properly
equipped emotionally and physically for volunteering in a somewhat
primitive and austere environment. There is no requirement language, some
long-term positions such as teaching in the schools or working at remote
sites require Nepali language therefore we will provide general Nepali
language classes during the orientation period.

The General Characteristics of
Programs
Global Partnership organizes all the camps
in cooperation with the schools, colleges or local governance body,
communities, line agencies (CBO, NGO, INGO) municipalities, universities
and local initiatives.

Are international and the camp language is ENGLISH |

All programs consist of approximately 5 to 20
participants |

Focus on various themes based on the
needs/uses/sources of the community |

Have one camp leader, Camp Supervisor and Helper |

Are organized for volunteers the age above 18 |

Programs including excursions and leisure time
activities, which are free of charge |

Provide accommodation either in dormitories, community
houses, public buildings, rented houses, and hotels/Hostels or some
camps required accommodation under tents. |

Provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner either in
community, restaurant, by a cook or by self-catering. |

Consists of a limited amount of insurance against
injury, illnesses and accidents.
(We recommend volunteers to have their own large insurance in their
own countries) |
